| The point of going to 3" pipe is to reduce turbulance at high flow... so you have to taper the thing down to prevent turbulance from the sudden change. (no steeper than 15 deg)If not, the flow will be choked from that point maybe even sooner than stock. Leaving it that way is not even an option IMHO.
